Biography

With over 35 years of experience in the courtroom, together with corporate, commercial, real estate, and Family Law, Sandy Bartlett is a seasoned legal professional skilled in negotiating and resolving complex legal matters. Sandy has been an employer in Nanaimo since 1990. Having lived in Nanaimo for 54 years, Sandy’s deep roots in the community shape his commitment to its future for old, new, and future community members. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Sandy is a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He and his wife are proud parents of three children and grandparents to four, with a family that is the cornerstone of his life and values. Sandy’s commitment to Nanaimo goes far beyond the courtroom. A passionate volunteer, he has dedicated countless hours to pro bono work, helping those in need and supporting various local philanthropic initiatives. His involvement with organizations focused on community development and charitable causes underscores his belief in giving back to the community.

General Voting Day

Saturday, 17 October, 8 a.m.–8 p.m.

Nanaimo uses a vote-anywhere system, so you can vote at any City voting location. The Protection Island Fire Hall is open 10 a.m.–6 p.m.

Advance and mail voting

Advance voting is at Beban Park Social Centre, 2300 Bowen Road, on Wednesday, 7 October and Wednesday, 14 October, 8 a.m.–8 p.m.

Apply to vote by mail by 4 p.m. on Friday, 16 October. Completed ballots must reach the Chief Election Officer by 8 p.m. on Saturday, 17 October.
